November 17, 2009   HIGHLAND PARK BOARD OF MANAGERS MEETING

Meeting was called to order at 7:30

Attendees:  Dave Celznick, Bill Mazzolini, Jeanne Stark, Kevin Malinowski, Kathi Maxwell, Ed Fratus

Homeowner issues:  Jeff Oberg – wanted to follow up on the Newsletter article about speeders in Highland Park.   Jeff suggested speed bumps might help but it is not an option based on previous conversations with the city.  Bill Mazzolini offered to get involved with Jeff in calling the city to ask for some assistance.

Minutes from October 2009 meeting were approved.  Sent to Sean for website posting.

Thank You to Ed for fixing the carriage house lights.

Issue 1:  Review of our delinquent accounts and next actions taken.

Issue 2:  Dream Home discussion – decided to leave it be and not chase them in the future.

Issue 3:  New Basin matters in new Phase.  Gary provided an email response to the homeowner for the future plans.  Jeanne will follow up with Mike Bramhall to ask for an outline or some sort of document that will detail what the finished basin/product will look like including slope, depth etc. and when do they anticipate it is to be turned over to the HO Association.  By getting this information up front, it will provide us a chance to make sure that what is promised is what is delivered.  Email was sent to Mike Bramhall; waiting on his reply.

Issue 4:  The camper/trailer sitting over in the new phase off Wendell is owned by the homeowner on Stoney Ridge and it is within their lot line.  Homeowner does not intend to move it.

Issue 5: Pool Project update – according to the local newspaper, a splash pool/recreation complex is earmarked for the police/fire station area.  How might that impact our need for an expanded pool in Highland Park?  By the end of January, Kevin and Dave  are going to meet with Gary to further develop the possible proposals.  After that meeting, a town hall forum would be held with the Homeowners.

Issue 6:  Clubhouse reservations – pro bono usage.  Several proposals kicked around but no decisions were made and the conversation was tabled for further discussion for the January meeting.
