MARCH 23, 2009   HIGHLAND PARK BOARD OF MANAGERS MEETING

Meeting was called to order at 7:30

 

Attendees:  Dave Celznick, Bill Mazzolini, Kevin Malinowski, Jeanne Stark – Highland Park HOA.    Ed Fratus, Carlyle Management 

 

Homeowner issues: Wendell homeowners came to discuss the letter they received from Carlyle Management regarding real and personal property installed on Association property. Homeowners provided a unified response via a letter delivered to the Board.  The Board will further discuss.

 

Minutes from February 2009 meeting were approved. They were sent to Sean for website posting.

 

Thank You to Ed & Bill for emergency Friday furnace fix.

No Financials/Finances discussion

Issue 1:   Playground update – Motion made and was carried 4-1 to order the playground upgrades. Expected delivery is 3 – 5 weeks.   A letter will be sent to the homeowners that abut the Nature Park to inform them of the Nature Park project.

Will also be featured in the Newsletter.   Board will look at exercise equipment as a possible future upgrade in our long range planning goals. 

 

Issue 2: Confirmation of Annual Meeting  4/20/2009 7:00 pm.  Dave will coordinate the slide show presentation.  Review of the topics to be discussed outlined by the Board.  Agenda items to included improvements made by the Board for 2008-09 to date. 

 

Issue 3:    Wendell Basin Discussion was held by the Board on the Homeowners requests to grandfather their property.  Results of that discussion were communicated to the involved homeowners.

 

Issue 4:  Newsletter Update Jeanne will coordinate letter.  Dave will provide a Presidents Letter.  Kevin will provide financial updates.  Bill to provide advertising, article regarding: FAQ’s, Memorial Weekend run, Swimming Pool Season 2009. Remind Homeowners of the upcoming election in April for Board of Managers.   Deadline to Jeanne for your items is 3/31/09.  Goal is to distribute newsletter in early APRIL.

Issue 5: Recruitment of Board members for Annual election – Kevin & Jeanne intend to run again.  No other candidates are interested to our knowledge.
