Questions & Answers

  1. Where exactly on the mailbox are the numbers supposed to go? First 1/3, middle, back 1/3?   Not specified but let’s establish a position or guide.
  2. Suggestion was made for path markers on the walking trails that indicate distance to certain points or round trips.  Jeanne & Kevin to consider when evaluating playground updates.
  3. Harriman Trail homeowner questioned why they received two annual billings for the Association fee.  Bill discussed with homeowner after the meeting.
  4. Suggestion was made for having contests in the development like best Holiday Decorations or best landscaping.
  5. Do the deed restrictions define yard clutter and how much is enough?  No it doesn’t currently.
  6. What can be done about garbage cans being out longer than garbage day?  City ordinance not a Board enforceable ordinance.    According to the code, the earliest the can be placed outside is 24 hours before garbage day.
  7. Can we use the green space in the nature park for a graduation party?
  8. Why did we get no parking signs in the cul-de-sacs?  City is getting around to enforcing that city code that has been on the books for a while.  Residents needing to have guests park in the cul-de-sac show inform the police dept.
  9. I heard a rumor about 75 more homes and Southpark cutting through to Stony Ridge.  Yes this is true.  It is a part of the original master plan.  Board is pushing for more speed control in Highland Park, especially on Southpark and even more so when it becomes a through street.  Dave pointed out that the past patrols have indicated the majority of speeders are residents. Talk to you neighbors!
  10. Suggestion was made for some supervised activities at the clubhouse for the older kids in the development.  Dance or games or movie theme nights as examples.
  11. If we were to get a new swimming pool, where would it go?
